We're all in it together.

Clearwater Sanctuary is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization established in 1989. Our mission is to serve our planet and the diversity of life it supports, through environmental, humane and humanitarian education and action. Thriving in the midst of a green canopied forest, nourished by a spring fed river, Clearwater is a natural sanctuary for both people and animals.

In 27 years of service, we have cared for more than 30,000 sick, injured and orphaned animals. Wildlife is treated, and then released to live freely in our sanctuary. Companion animals are given lifelong love and comfort in our pet orphanage. As advocates on behalf of animals, we give them a voice. During disasters, such as the BP Oil Spill and Hurricane Katrina, we serve in rescue and recovery.

People also find refuge at Clearwater Sanctuary. By exploring creative practices for living in harmony on our planet, our education programs have touched the lives of thousands. In a peaceful, supportive environment, we offer nature and mindfulness retreats, yoga, meditation, dharma, tai chi and contemplative prayer groups.
